Are Fibroids Heterogenous Masses?

Question: Are fibroids heterogenous masses? Last year my obgyn felt what she thought is a small fibroid by my filopian tube area. I had an ultrasound and it showed a small heterogenous mass. After ultrasound Dr said she wasn't concerned she said she though it was a pedunctuated fibroid. I go for my annual exam in the morning and I'm so stressed out I can't sleep. I'm concerned the mass could be cancer as I googled and it said heterogenous masses can be cancerous. I have normal regular periods and have no unusual symptoms.

Brief Answer:
You are not having cancer

Detailed Answer:

Hi

After hearing your history pedunculated fibroids are benign growths in the uterus.

These fibroids are attached to the uterine wall by a stalk like growth called a peduncle.

Pedunculated fibroids does not require treatment

But if you are experiencing pain then you can go for endometrial ablation

This procedure uses hot fluids, radio waves, freezing or microwaves to remove the uterine lining and destroy the fibroid.

Not all heterogenous mass are cancerous and since you are not having any symptoms and is having regular periods there is nothing to worry

The mass is on the outside of my uterus, between my ovary and uterus by my filopian tube. Are heterogenous masses cancerous normally or rarely ?
