Are Difficulty In Breathing And Mild Asthma Signs Of Anxiety?

default
Posted on Sat, 6 Aug 2016
Question: I am being conservative with use of questions just so I do not run out.

Yesterday I went in to see local pulmonologist regarding difficulty breathing the past few days.
Had a good visit, he checked lungs and heart. Talked a bit. He commented that the air has been heavy lately so that was what breathing issue was. He still believes that I have an underlying case of very very mild asthma.
We talked of the new meds from the psychiatrist and he became mad because he doesnt like the idea of taking Propenolol with a Flovent inhaler or albuterol inhaler. He than said all was good. I just have too much anxiety. I accepted that and your statements on anxiety and now must work it down. I have to say, I felt more at ease and comfortable last night when I went back to the local fair for another cow showing of the best breeds.
Tell me one thing. when I have to move quickly from one office to mine just to answer the ringing phone, I am slightly out of breath. I know that my heart jumps and i get anxious because I am expecting this feeling. would you say its cause is anxiety and will go away with time and rest

Well another day begins. Not as good as it was yesterday morning. I still am in anxiety mode and have been having attacks since middle of night. I agree with you that the thought of going to work triggers it and my stress to move is triggering it.

I have never mentioned the name of my home town. It is named Sioux Falls, named after the Lakota Sioux Indians and the water falls that are there.

Now that you know the name of the town I can use it when talking of my trips. I will be making a trip next week and every other week for a while. I want to use the trips to move some things back and prepare for return

I also had a phone job interview last night and the interviewer wants to meet in person. He will meet me on one of my weekend trips

OK I will remember the name, Sioux Falls.
Sounds good. Waterfall. I just love water falls. They are so beautiful that you forget all your worries there.
Do you love water falls?
And are you planning to go this weekend?

Well if I tell you as a kid, we would climb them and dive off into the water below. Very dangerous but lots of fun. Used to go sit on shelf near bottom and stick feet into the water cascading down.

There are some good sky view pictures of the park, I'll see what I can find and post the as an upload.

I made a decision yesterday to sell 4 bass guitars I will prepare them to sell when I go home next week. This decision was made after I sat and thought about the one I did not buy on Monday.

Oh I was worried that this planned trip was gonna have to be with my wife. She made comment last night of would I be upset if she did not go-she is just worn out from all her work lately. So I may get to load truck up as I go

Oh. This is amazing. You must be a naughty kid in childhood. I can feel child in you when you describe water fall. You should spend some more time at water fall. I think you will improve by doing so.
You can still sit by the fall and enjoy it.
Is it still the same? Or more beautiful?
And are you talking about your current wife or your ex wife?

You should have the photos of the park. The big rushing drop off is where we would climb to the top and center, then jump.

I was a good kid with a tendency to have trouble follow me. My current wife was looking to go with but now it looks differently.

I was at the clinic on Friday, the dr prescribed me Prednisone. I took it for two days. The pulmonologist here told me to stop!!! I did, but what is in it that opens airways more than an inhaler does. how long does a dose take to be done in the body. If I have been off for 48 hours, would it be out of my body.

Now that I know not to take it, I will have to tell Drs that I am not allowed and that its not good for me.

Thanks a ton for sharing those pictures.
I must tell you, fall is beautiful. I think beautiful is a small word to describe the fall.
In XXXXXXX we can not find such falls so easily.
If I am wrong, fall looks like small replica of Niagara Falls.
What do you think on this?
And what? Prednisone?
Who prescribed you this? And you never told me about this. May I ask you why?

This was just the couple days ago. I did not think much of it and I did not want to take it as they wanted so I basically put it aside. Then I told the Pulmonologist here and he said it was good that I did put it away.

I was at the local clinic, not the pulmonologist office but a nearby after hours clinic
I went because It felt tight in chest like pneumonia and they took xray and prescribed it but could find nothing like pneumonia.

So I did not want to push that took a couple but then said enough is enough

Do you have chest x ray?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Sorry for being rude.
You should not take prednisone without consulting pulmonologist. I want this promise from you.
Prednisone is oral steroid and it is having many side effects.
Inhaled steroids are far better than oral steroids for lung inflammation.
So stick with flovent only.
Did they give chest x ray which was taken on that day?
I want to see it because hyperinflation can be seen only chest x ray.
Do you have chest x ray image?

No chest xray went to pulmonologist and he said that it and all the others are fine.

And yes prednisone is no longer taken

Brief Answer:
Good that everything was normal.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
It's good that everything was normal on chest x ray. So you should convinced by this x ray that you are not having hyperinflation. So stop thinking about this.
And I am relaxed that you are not taking prednisone any more.
Prednisone usually stays in body for 24-48 hours.
But it depends on dose.
So which dose you have taken?
