Are Delayed Menstruation, Lower Back Pain And Nausea Signs Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I had my last period on 24th March 16. I have been having brown discharge ( a few times a day, noticed on the wipes in the bathroom) from 18th April. My cycles are usually 27 days long, but since the we are TTC ( 2 months now ) it has been a bit off, plus or minus 3 days.. Also a few other symptoms:

- Feet pain/cramps for 5days.
- Lower back hurts.
- Center of the chest hurts on and off a few times a day.. ( started yesterday ) pain lasts only for a few seconds..
- Nauseous feeling today morning.

Can you please advice on the foll:

a. Does this mean a late period or could I be pregnant ?
b. When should I take a HPT ?
c. What medicines are safe for acidity as the pain in the chest is uncomfortable ?
d. Can I take pudin XXXXXXX ?

Brief Answer:
Preg test is required

Detailed Answer:
Pregnancy test using urine sample can be taken on 25 April. Blood test done for pregnancy (beta hCG) can be taken now. If pregnancy test is negative please get tranvaginal ultrasound scan done.

You may take syp diovol 20 ml for acidity. Pudin XXXXXXX is ok till you test positive.

Thank you for the advice doctor. Will do as recommended.

However, if I get my normal period in the next couple of days do I still need to get an ultrasound done ?

Please do urine pregnancy test on 25 april.
If continued spotting after next periods then kindly get TVS pelvis done.
