default
Posted on Fri, 30 Jun 2017
Question: Are taking both anti epilepsy drugs Levetecetam, Lamotrigine, Zomaside and, right now now, Plavix and Aspirin, okay to take with decongestants? My neurologist has not responded to my email asking same.

Brief Answer:
You can take all medications with possibility of increased dizziness

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
There is possibility of increased dizziness, drowsiness, decreased concentration with use of all these medications.
If you are taking aspirin and plavix regularly for any particular indication, then can be continued but possibility of hemorrhage increases with combined use.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thank you for your response Dr. XXXXXXX You mention, albeit, the increase in possibility of hemorrhage. I had a stent implanted in a Grand Size Aneurysm and that is why the Plavix and Aspirin are used. Are you suggesting that the Decongestant will act against those? Thank you sir.
The gist of question no. 1 was can I also take Decongestants with the above listed meds? In addition to the anticoagulants?

Hello,
You can take all medications along with decongestants.
