Are Constant Vomiting And Poor Appetite A Cause For Concern?

Question: My sister just returned from 6 weeks in Guatemala and has been vomiting daily for 8 days now. No fever. At first we thought flu but she hasn't been able to eat any solid food and is throwing up her psychotropic meds and the water she took them with. I'm very worried. She's 62 and about 150 lbs, 5'1"

Hello,
Vomiting for 8 days and not being able to keep down solid foods is very serious. She needs to see a doctor right away. She needs to be evaluated for what is causing the infection and will probably need IV fluids.
If you cannot get her to her doctor today then take her to emergency.
There are many infections that can cause severe vomiting that may be contracted in developing countries like Guatemala. She needs to be seen right away
Do not delay, help her get to a doctor immediately

Thank you so much for your response. Now she has pure liquid diarrhea which started yesterday morning. She was able to make an appointment today with her family practitioner at 11:40. Again thank you!
