I have not had my fibroid checked in 2 years, but I was told they were not that big, as if I were about 2-3 month pregnant. I am typically regular with my periods. but my last one was very heavy. I also have had some inconsistent night sweats. I am only on nasocort for allergies. Not much more stress than usual and have gained 3-5 pounds recently.

Brief Answer:
No you are not pregnant..

Detailed Answer:
If you have missed a period an it has been at least two weeks since last unprotected intercourse, then you are not pregnant. The irregularity in your cycles is almost certainly related to normal changes that occur with the transition through to menopause. Menopause is defined as no period for 12 months. Leading up to menopause, cycles can become irregular because you are not ovulating regularly.

Fibroids are benign tumors of the uterus that are associated with heavy and painful periods. If there is a delay in ovulation, which almost certainly is occurring, the next period can be quite heavy.

Finally, fibroids tend to grow around this peri-menopausal transition. Given the cramping, bloating, tenderness and two year gap since these were last checked, you probably should have these evaluated. The change in your cycles coupled with growth in the fibroids would explain your symptoms.

Does this help?
