Are Blackish Spots On The Surface Of A Skin Tag In The Armpit Region Indicative Of Any Infection?

Question: Hi. I have had a skin tag below my under arm area for 10-15 years or so but in last few weeks it became red and inflamed and now it seems to have gotten smaller but it has blackish spors and it is discolored.Do you see any concern or maybe infected?thank you

I have reviewed the attached photographs and your skin tag seems to be infected.
I don’t think you need to worry about it.
You can consult a dermatologist and get it removed by electrocautery.
It is a minor office procedure requiring 10-15 minutes.

So a little while ago i checked on it and it seems to be leaking some fuid so i cleaned around it and put some neosporing.Is it normal for the fluid drainage?Thank u very much
