Are Ovral-C And Novelon Effective Medication For Ovarian Cysts?

Question: hi, i have a left ovrain cyst..doctor prescribed me a OVRAL C tablet FOR THAT in 2nd month and in 1st month i took novelon tablet for cyst... will tablet finish my ovrain cyst this time .. and will it effect my future pregnancy?

Thanks for the query,
If it was a simple ovarian cyst then the OVRAL C and novelon both being low dose oral contraceptive pills would help alleviate or reduce teh ovarian cyst in size once taken for ideally 2-3 months. You may get an ultrasound pelvis after finishing teh ovral c course and check if the size has reduced.

Hello,
The size is 5x3.5x 4cm and its large. Unless symptomatic it can be tried to be reduced with OC pills . If you would have been symptomatic then a laparoscopic removal of the cyst would have been the next best option.

its a Hemorrhagic cyst... so is it compoulsoury to do opreation?

A hemorrhagic cyst will not reduce with oc pills. In that case you have to get it laparoscopically operated.
