Brief Answer:
Treatment proceeding in right direction. Medicines safe. Please continue

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter is sick. Meftal P contains mefenamic acid which is very effective in reducing the temperature. The temperature needs to be kept in control and so Meftal P needs to be given. Please do not worry about side effects. It is a frequently used medicine and well tolerated.

In most cases, such episodes of respiratory tract infections are caused due to certain viruses but often there is a superadded bacterial infection alongside. Taxim-O Forte contains cefixime which is an antibiotic. It helps in controlling any bacterial infection, if any. Please complete the full course of 5 days. The cough may persist for 5-10 days. Giving steam inhalation along, should help in reducing the cough. Ambrodil S contains a mucolytic and should also help in reducing the cough. Montair LC contains an antiallergic along with another ingredient that acts as a immune stabilizer. It should help. I would suggest you to continue these medicines.

If there is wheezing, giving Levolin through Huf Puf kit should provide relief. It is effective in such a situation. Give it only if you feel there is distress or wheezing.

Please do not worry. Your doctor has prescribed the right medicines. Continue them for the stipulated duration and things should be fine.
