Brief Answer: Considerations Detailed Answer: Hello & thank you for submitting your question. It is very important to keep the affected areas well-moisturized and protected from contact (if possible) to prevent infection or further damage to the area & to promote healing. At this point, a more moisturizing, higher viscosity fragrance-free lotion is advisable, in fact you can even use Vaseline/petroleum jelly. Maintain adequate hydration and fluid intake during this healing process. If the skin doesn't begin to heal or there are any possible signs of infection (fever, chills, rash, oozing) please see a doctor immediately. Also if the pain is still severe after a few days, you might need to see a physician for a prescription strength cream & physical examination. Again, thank you for submitting your question. Take Care, Dr G
