Brief Answer:
Abdominal pain is unlikely to be due to muscle spasms

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr Nandiajit,

Welcome to Ask a Doctor Service.

I have gone through the details you have provided and it appears that the diagnosis is unlikely to be accurate.

Back and spine pain is more likely to be due to muscle spasm but abdominal pain is highly unlikely to be due to muscle spasm.

Could you please describe the pain that you get in the abdomen?

What is the exact location of this abdominal pain? And what makes it worse and what makes it better?

Do you have to burp quite often?

Do you get any burning sensation in the center of the chest?

About back and spine pain, I would like to know the exact location of that pain as well and also please describe how you feel pain, does taking a deep breath cause pain?

Does the pain go from the back to anywhere else?

Do you get evening fevers often?

Do you have severe sweating in the nights?

Are there any other problems you have noticed?

For the time being, I would advice you to apply ice to the painful areas in the back and spine region.

You can take Tablet. Sompraz-D twice a day before food for 10 days for the pain the abdomen.

Please do get back to me with further details so that I can help you further.

Best regards

Brief Answer:
Apply ice and take the medicines as advised.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again Mr Joydeep XXXXXXX

Welcome back and thank you for providing more details.

The back pain needs to be looked into if it persists even after applying ice for 10 days.

Few important conditions to rule out include stones in the kidney and spinal column infection and ankylosing spondylitis or intervetebral disc prolapse.

Please visit an orthopedic surgeon or neurologist if the pain persists.

For the abdominal pain, please take Tablet Sompraz-D for 10 days and see if you notice any improvement, if there is no improvement, then you will need to undergo Upper GI endoscopy and detailed clinical examination by a general surgeon.

I hope this answers your query,

Best regards

Brief Answer:
Continue as advised before.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again Mr Joydeep XXXXXXX

This abdominal pain does not seem very serious right now, please do let me know after completing the tablets for 10 days.

As for the back pain, please follow the advice given and let me know if there is any improvement in the symptoms or not.

If there is no improvement in the pain, then you will need to undergo Upper GI Endoscopy, Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen and X-Ray or MRI of the spine to rule out spinal problems.

I wish you speedy recovery.

Best regards
