Are Cold, Cough And Spitting Of Sputum Curable?

Question: Doctor , my wife having cold and cough and she is spitting flum. she had taken 4 tablets of attached a d having cough syrup. she is trying hone remedies but not helping. can you please advice.

Hi,

Sorry to say say but there is no attachment regarding drugs.
So please mention name of tablets and syrup she has taken so that I can guide you better.
In my opinion, she should definitely get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection. PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
Both, lung infection and bronchitis can cause persistent cough and expectoration (phlegm).
Also let me know if she is having diabetes or any other heart problem.

she was using Benadryl, and tablet she is using used was megaclox. she does not have diabeties nor any heart issues.
