Question: A 56 y.o. female is complaining of mid back pain radiating to chest area. Has ICD implant-- placed 10/2006; replaced lead and battery 08/2015. Breathing is not-labored; however, does complain of times of difficulty. Pain is increased upon standing/walking. No known allergies--other than sulfa-based medications. Prescribed Trazadone for sleep. Thanks, Doctor XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this

Detailed Answer:

If the pain began after the cough, then respiratory issues would be the thing to explore, starting with a plain film chest xray.

Has she had any recent cardiac evaluation, other than maintenance of the ICD implant? Such as EKG and stress testing?

What cardiac diagnosis was the cause of her ICD implant?
