Question: My 90 year old mother is expererincing low body 96.5, nausea with vomiting. Could this be a stomach viral infection?

Yes, this can be a viral infection. However usually also diarrhea appears with such infection. But vomiting can be also caused by peptic ulcer, gallstones, bowels obstruction, heart attack or even kidneys failure.
You should be aware of low blood pressure, lack of urine, no gases and stool, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, chest pain, headaches, sleepiness. If any of mentioned symptoms will appear, you should contact your doctor.
It is also very important to give sufficient amount of fluids when vomiting, especially at older person.
