Question: Hi:) I'm a 55 year old woman experiencing extremely tired, exhausted legs in addition to being out of breath when walking stairs, and working out. My arms also get tired while exercising. I started to experience this a few years ago and my Dr sent me for a stress test and pulmonary test. They were both negative. Presently I'm being treated for L4, L5 affecting S1nerve root. This pain continues and I'm getting my 3rd shot on the 23rd. Is this 2 separate issues? I'm is very good shape with no health issues outsde od my back and exhaustion
of legs and arms depending on activity. In addition, my brother has poly fibromyalgia.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The feeling of tiredness that you are having is not likely to be related to the degenerative disc disease you are having.
These symptoms are often found in vitamin D and magnesium deficiency.

I suggest you to consult an endocrinologist and get prescribed vitamin D and magnesium supplements. Your symptoms should improve with that. Also eat magnesium XXXXXXX foods like bananas, beans, chickpeas, fish, nuts, soybeans, spinach etc which are natural sources of magnesium.

Regarding vitamin D levels, you need to take a XXXXXXX of vitamin D with milk or curd once a week for 8 weeks and then once a month. Each XXXXXXX contains 60,000 IU of vitamin D. But these should be taken only after getting your vitamin D levels checked.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
