A 30-day event monitor with me pushing the button multiple times daily should have showed if I have had A-Fib at some point during the month. I called the monitoring people 11 times and was assured that no A-Fib showed up, and that they would have called me immediately if it had. Also, I was cardiac-monitored for 3 separate ER visits, where I was hospitalized for observation twice (24 hours and 48 hours) and monitored constantly then. I was assured by the hospital cardiologists that there had been no sign of A-Fib during those times. Therefore, an extra ECG 24-hour monitoring probably wouldn't show it, either. Since I was on Omeprazole for well over a decade with varying doses, I still suspect that it contributed toward the arrhythmias that I now experience, and I am hoping that by being off of that drug, my arrhythmias will eventually cease. They are already dwindling. Apart from that, I appreciate the time and attention that Dr. Kierida Shehu spent on reviewing the details of my case. Thank you, Dr. Shehu.
