User :   hi dr.... good after noon.... i want to chat with some gyno regarding my wife

User :   we are married sine 2 months trying to have child... last month my wife had periods 6 days late she jumped fron bed... this month she had periods on time.. what chould be the reason??
Doctor :   what do you mean she jumped from bed?
Doctor :   May I know both your age.
User :   She actually sliped from bed
User :   my age is 30 and my wife 26
Doctor :   Has your wife on any meds?
User :   no
Doctor :   Sometimes stress can be the cause of delayed periods
Doctor :   But In your case , periods can get delayed due to a number of causes.
Doctor :   But since your wife has got her periods on time, this time around, i dont think you should be worrying on this matter.
Doctor :   Slipping from the bed, is not the reason for late periods
User :   but she is not conceiving
Doctor :   please dont hurry , since its just been 2 months
Doctor :   conception depends on a number of causes
Doctor :   sex during the fertile period of the menses ( day 10-20) HELPS for conception
Doctor :   ARE your wifes periods been normal before marriage , any history of heavy bleeding.
User :   it was normal before marriage but after marriage bleeding is heavy
Doctor :   INFERTILITY - is considered only after not able to concieve after 1 year of cohabitation (marriage) with normal and regular sexual intercourse.
Doctor :   Does she have any clots, any burning micturition, discharge, etc ?
User :   no clots little burning is there
Doctor :   May i know her weight, height & occupation?
User :   she is house wife, hight 5 ft anw waight around 44 kg
Doctor :   She is underweight by atleast 6 kilos
Doctor :   heavy menses could be due to a lot of issues, irregular hormone patterns, infection, etc
Doctor :   I would advise you to wait for at least 6 more months, so that normal conception can occur. And to achieve conception, i would advice sex during the 10th to 20th day of her menstrual cycles
Doctor :   But most important days would be 12th to 15th days of her menstrual cycles
Doctor :   Are you following me ?
User :   yes
Doctor :   In case you are still worried, You may get a semen analysis first (after 3 days of abstinence).
Doctor :   If that is normal, then, get a complete check up , with blood tests of your wife (CBC, Thyroid, )
Doctor :   And a USG - pelvis ,can be done to rule out any other causes.
Doctor :   But i would advice you, not to hurry, and wait for a few more months, before you proceed to investigate.

User :   she often pick up heavy items at home does she has to restrain from that
Doctor :   not as such, she can do any physical work as long as she can tolerate it
Doctor :   physical work, does not affect conception
Doctor :   but it should be avoided after conception is confirmed , and mainly in the late months of pregnancy.
