User:my child's legs seems to slightly bowed when he walks but normal when he stands..
User:he started walking at the age of 13 months
Doctor:Its normal for a child
User:we showed it to our pediatrician
Doctor:As they grow, their legs will start taking the weight and develop normally
User:she gave Just XXXXXXX and Ossopan
User:Oh thanks. I read in net abt that. But everybody who sees points out that its bent..
Doctor:I am not disputing the fact that its bendt or not
Doctor:What I am saying is that it will take some time to become ok
Doctor:In addition, you should give a diet XXXXXXX in calcium and vitamin D
Doctor:so its lot of milk, legumes, dal
User:actually it is not actually bowed. The distance between knees is very much normal, the development assessor told its the tibial bone it is slightly bent
Doctor:See XXXXXXX
Doctor:there can be 2 things
Doctor:one the bones of the children are so soft and still developing that this will not be absolutely straight
Doctor:second, there is a problem
Doctor:probably vitamin D deficiency or something
Doctor:so in my opinion
Doctor:you should see an orthopedic surgeon
Doctor:would be the best person to assess whether this is normal or not
User:Thanks before 3 months during the assessment it was bent nicely, but after giving Vitamin D drops his leg is much better..
User:Anyways I would check with the Orthopedic doctor too.
Doctor:That means there is a deficiency XXXXXXX
Doctor:Its called Rickets
Doctor:But the thing is why a child of this socioeconomic class have rickets
Doctor:either he's not eating well
Doctor:or there is another problem which is causing the vitamin D deficiency
Doctor:That is why I recommend the evaluation
User:Sure, I will consult with the doctor soon. Thanks for answering my queries.
