User :   hi
User :   looking for a skin specialist
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
User :   this is about my ddaughter who is two and a half
Doctor :   I am a General Physician
User :   she has devloped white patches on her eyelids and under her eyes.
User :   like eye bags but white.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   When did they appear
User :   about 3 weeks ago i think
User :   but it seems to be getting worse.
User :   today it seems much worse.
Doctor :   Are they pure white ?
User :   really worried it may be vitiligo
Doctor :   What is the size of the patch
Doctor :   How many are there?
User :   no like discolred skin
Doctor :   Can you send me a picture of them?
User :   the right eyelid is pretty much covered and now both eyes underneath have them exactly how we have dark eye bags, same sort of shape etc but in whtie
User :   she is not with me right now for me to send them to you...
User :   they are no where else
Doctor :   It really needs physical examination to determine the nature of the patch, cause of the patch
User :   ok but just for info can vitiligo spread so qucikly?
User :   someone mentioned a fungal infection but can you get those near the eye? in white patches...
Doctor :   It is vary variable
User :   what is?
Doctor :   it behaves in a very untypical way, where the spread is fast and sometimes it is slow we cannot rightly predict it
Doctor :   it would not spread even a mm for years together
Doctor :   So based on the spread we cannot determine the cause of it
User :   ok so no real outcome?
Doctor :   I did not understand
User :   can you tell me if it could be anything other than vitiligo
User :   have you seen it to be anything else?
Doctor :   Fungal cause, dandruff, Nutritional deficiency, Allergy are the other reasons
User :   she gets a lot of pins and needles as well
User :   within a few mins of sitting she complains her legs are tickling
Doctor :   Do you have family history of vitiligo?
Doctor :   What is her age?
User :   2 and half
User :   so little still
Doctor :   Did you address this problem with her regular pediatrician?
User :   yes my father in law has recently about a year ago been dignosed with it. no one else
User :   not really as he wasn't to sure
User :   he said it could be vitiligo, or fungal infection
Doctor :   As I said, it needs an examination closely with magnifying glass and some specific light
Doctor :   Hence a Dermatologist would be better to approach
Doctor :   Just by describing the nature of the patch we cannot give the probable cause and make you panic
User :   ok thanks
Doctor :   Do you have any more questions?
Doctor :   Thank you
Doctor :   Bye for now
