User:I have been struggling with vomitings from the last 2 years.. was under medication for almost an year..also consulted few gastroenterologits . but no luck...
User:went through tests like endoscopy, colonoscopy etc..
User:but none of the reports show any problem... still problem persists..
User:could you please suggest me on how to proceed?
User:I went through hernia surgery 2 years ago.. since then this problem started

User:whenever i eat heavy food i vomit

User:sorry.. mucous means?

User:not exactly sure.. but mostly i vomit exactly 2 to 3 hrs after having food
User:once i vomited, nausea feeling also goes away.. and feel relaxed
User:and some times a loose motion also happens with vomiting

User:yes.. ultra sound was also done many times..

User:but after looking at my reports, doctor told to avoid aerated drinks..and said that i have ulcers

User:color doppler and ultra sound findings are within normal limits

User:colonoscpoy says : edematous mucosal antral folds multiple superficial ulcers wirh mild nodularity in the antrum and prepylori c area

User:impression : chronic active gasttritis

Doctor:It may have happened after taking antibiotics and pain killers after hernia surgery

User:but i vomit mostly when i overeat

User:i am underweight..and my dietician suggested me to eat protien rich food to put on weight
Doctor:Sometimes H pylori bacteria is associated with it, but it shows up on biopsy
Doctor:In your case it did not show up
Doctor:Protein rich food and high calorie foods can be taken to increase wieght
Doctor:High calorie foods include milk products like cheese, butter , ghee etc
Doctor:Medicines like sucralfate can be taken that help by coating the ulceres
User:ok..what kind of foods shold not be taken to avoid gastritis??
Doctor:Spicy foods to be avoided
Doctor:Bland foods to be taken, fruits and vegetables are good
Doctor:Antacids can be taken to neutralize the acid (if you feel the hyperacidity)
Doctor:You will also need to monitor for Vitamin B12 deficiency in blood
Doctor:Regular small meals can be taken
User:how can this be monitored??
Doctor:endoscopy is the best test
Doctor:But you donot need to repeat it unless it is really needed

Doctor:Another way is to keep a track of your symptoms

Doctor:when you feel you have burning feeling in stomach
Doctor:Eno wont work
Doctor:Eno is for bloating
Doctor:It may help prevent vomiting
User:oh ok.. i will take gelusil..
Doctor:But will nothelp with gastritis

User:sucralate for a month?? motring and night before food?
