User :   Hello Doc, my daughter 6 months old is getting nose blocked and is sneezing I need to take some precautions and start giving medicine?
Doctor :   Since when is she having these symptoms?
User :   since yes'day
Doctor :   Is she running fever?
User :   my 19 month old boy is undergoing mox+sinarest for bacterial throat infection
User :   no she is not running fever.
Doctor :   Is your daughter active otherwise and eating feeding well?
User :   yes, all other things seem good and she is feeding as well but there is sound in nose when she is breathing

Doctor :   Is she breathing hard?
Doctor :   and rapidly?
User :   not hard but just the nose gets phlem sometimes
User :   no not rapidly either

Doctor :   Does she have history of branchial asthma in the past?
User :   no this is the 1st time that she is having a cold kind of stuff

Doctor :   Your daughter's symptoms are consistent with the features of upper respiratory tract infection,
Doctor :   There are 2 common causes for such inflammation.
Doctor :   1. Infection
Doctor :   2. Allergies
Doctor :   Since you report that your son is also suffering from an upper respiratory inflammation,
Doctor :   your daughter may have contacted the infection through your son.
Doctor :   The most common infection affecting young is a viral infection.
Doctor :   And they are self limiting illness.
Doctor :   Let me suggest you few measures that will help your daugther
User :   ok. So what do we do now? Start with some medicine from now on or wait?
Doctor :   1. You can use saline nasal drops
Doctor :   1 drop to be applied into each nostril thrice a day.
Doctor :   2. Avoid any cold food products
Doctor :   3. Proper and regular feeding
User :   ok. Saline drops is ok. She is exclusively on mothers feed as of now.
Doctor :   4. While feeding you need to remove the nasal secretions either using the drops or a sucker
Doctor :   This helps the baby to feed better.
Doctor :   You can repeat this process while your daughter goes to sleep too.
Doctor :   5. Watch out for few symptoms - fever, rashes, drowsiness,
User :   ok. doc. but that is a problem she is not sleeping much these days :o(

User :   She has some cough...sometimes.
