Doctor:what about your hemoglobin levels ?
Doctor:with regarding to diet during pregnancy, here are a few points
Doctor:1. Choose foods high in fiber that are enriched such as whole-grain breads, cereals,, rice, fruits, and vegetables.
Doctor:2. Eat and drink at least four servings of dairy products and calcium-rich foods a day to help ensure that you are getting 1000-1300 mg of calcium in your daily diet during pregnancy.
Doctor:This you can do, by take CALCIVIT tab 2 times in a day , throughout the pregnancy
User:this can be taken now?
Doctor:Eat at least three servings of iron-rich foods per day to ensure you are getting 27 mg of iron daily.
User:or needs to nbe started at leter point of pregnancy?
Doctor:In addition, you should on Iron supplements as well
Doctor:you can start them, right away
Doctor:Choose at least one good source of vitamin C every day, such as oranges, grapefruits, strawberries, honeydew, papaya, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, XXXXXXX peppers, tomatoes, and mustard greens. Pregnant women need 70 mg of vitamin C a day.
Doctor:Choose at least one good source of folic acid every day, like dark XXXXXXX leafy vegetables, veal, and legumes (lima beans, black beans, black-eyed peas and chickpeas).
User:I am facing acidity issues
User:and quite bad back-aches
Doctor:though, you are on Folvite, you can eat such diet
Doctor:that is common during the first trimester , due to morning sickness
Doctor:you can take Antacids like Gelusil MPS, which are safe during pregnancy
Doctor:this will reduce the acid production
User:should i avoid patatoes and the likes?
Doctor:and reduce the symptoms
Doctor:yes, you should as they worsen the acidity
Doctor:avoid spicy foods
Doctor:Avoid drinks containing caffeine (coffee, tea, cola) because these can relax the XXXXXXX and allow acid to reflux back into the esophagus.
Doctor:Don't eat big meals. Eat several small meals throughout the day instead.
Doctor:Wait at least three hours after your last meal before going to bed.
Doctor:It's important to drink plenty of water during pregnancy (8-10 glasses daily) along with other fluids, but don't drink these only at mealtimes.
Doctor:Large quantities of fluids can distend your stomach, putting more pressure on the XXXXXXX and forcing it to open inappropriately. Drink some of your fluids in between meals.
Doctor:Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You need to avoid any tightness around your waist and stomach.
Doctor:Sit upright in a comfortable chair rather than slouching.
Doctor:Sleep with your head and shoulders propped up with a wedge pillow or elevate the head of your bed six to eight inches.
Doctor:This will allow gravity to work for you and it will help keep your stomach acids where they should be--in your stomach and not in your esophagus.
Doctor:Exercises such as yoga, pilates, and stretching will also help
Doctor:Antacids like Gelusil MPS, don't cross the placenta into the baby's bloodstream, and are therefore considered a good option in the treatment of acid reflux, as in your case
User:ok....I am a can you give me a rough indian diet to follow
User:my weight is 47 kgs

User:Is it safe to get physically close with my partner?
Doctor:yes, you can have sex, during pregnancy, upto the 2nd trimester or even till 3rd trimester
Doctor:but you need to use woman on top position or side positions
Doctor:and avoid pressure on the abdomen, during sex
Doctor:if u feel uncomfortable or pain, you should slow it down
Doctor:in addition, it will also depend on the ultrasound findings, and presence of any risk factors
Doctor:like placenta previa, any previous issues like miscarriages, or preterm labour
Doctor:in such cases, you need to consult your gynaecologist, who can advise you accordingly
Doctor:I hope you have followed my suggestions ?
