User:this is the end of the report
Doctor:So you know that it is a normal report
Doctor:What do you want to understand about it?
User:because my gynecologist says that i have PCOD
Doctor:HSG does not test for PCOS
User:so i wanted to know how it is related to this
Doctor:It tests for any blockage in fallopian tubes
User:so u mean to say there is no blockage in the tubes rite?
Doctor:Since in PCOS, medicines are needed to get pregnant
Doctor:There is no blockage any where
User:is there any problem for pregnancy then
Doctor:hsg is normal, so no problem in getting pregnant due to anatomical defects
Doctor:PCOS is usually associated with anovulation
User:so what is the best solution for that
Doctor:I hope you are understanding what I am trying to say
User:ya i understood
Doctor:Anovulation is tested by many methods like hormonal assays, follicular ultrasound studies, ovulation prediction kits
User:is there any problem if i go for IUI
Doctor:So after making sure that there is anovulation, you will be prescribed medicine to induce ovulation
Doctor:IUI is safer than other techniques
Doctor:But I guess you may try for pregnancy naturally
User:but my hubby got lower sperm count and less motility
User:that is the problem
Doctor:Then you may go for IUI
User:what is the minimum count and motility require for IUI
Doctor:They will dilate your cervix to insert the sperms
User:what is the minimum count and motility require for IUI?
Doctor:The minimum count required is 1 million, though higher the better
User:he has more than that
User:what about the motility?
Doctor:Motility is usually not a requirement
Doctor:I think even 40% motility would be acceptable
Doctor:At some centers minimum count required may also be 10 million
User:thanks for your time and valuable info
User:thanks once again
User:have a nice weekend'
Doctor:Thanks for coming on cvhat
Doctor:You too have a nice weekend
