User:I am XXXXXXX 29 years old
User:i have a skin problem
Doctor:Can you describe your skin problem?
User:i have some dry light coloured rough patches on my face\
User:near the chin area and on forehaed which appear mainly dring winter time
User:they sometimes get itchy too
Doctor:two common causes are iron deficiency anemia and mallasezia furfur
Doctor:M furfur is a fungus
Doctor:I want you to first rule out iron deficiency anemia
User:i had recently got my blood test done for hb
User:n it came out to be fine
Doctor:Then it may be M furfur
Doctor:though there can be some less common causes as well
Doctor:like vitiligo etc
Doctor:I would suggest that you get it diagnosed by a dermatologist an
Doctor:and if it is M furfur then nothing much will work except lifestyle measures
Doctor:Do you also get dandruff?
User:what lifetsyle measures??
Doctor:like taking more of fruits and vegetables
User:slight dandruff only
Doctor:and drinking pure water from an RO system
Doctor:Same organism causes both conditions sometimes
Doctor:It should with lessening the demarcation between light and dark skin
User:so is there any ointment available that i can use?
Doctor:Also avoid stepping out in direct sunlight
Doctor:It may cause the dark skin more dark
Doctor:and the demarcation will exacerbate

Doctor:You can try anti-dandruff shampoo
Doctor:along with creams like miconazole cream
