User:I have a small benign tumor in my cerebellum 8 years diagnosed and have periods when it causes me symptoms. 2 weeks ago illness from kidneys, recovering from hysterectomy and stress caused what I call a flare up. I have had problems with speech, headache ataxia tingling fingers heavy arms fatigue, problems finding words. Saying inappropriate things, tremor at rest in arms and left leg ( this is new for me, left leg) intention tremor.forgetting what I'm doing. It sometimes goes off quickly but I seem to be getting worse this time. Didn't go to hospital on onset and went to drs after a week. Gp signed me off and made up something on my sick note. I'm concerned I should maybe contact my neurologist myself. I'm feeling spaced out and depressed and I'm on my own during the week.
Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.
Doctor:I agree with you on the requirement to visit your neurologist
Doctor:Occasionally there can be some bleeding inside the tumour which can cause worsening of symptoms and new symptoms to appear
Doctor:other possibility is of the tumour growing in size
Doctor:So, you do need a neurologist consultation as soon as possible
User:Thank you. I feel it's worse than it has been and isn't getting better and possibly the dr isn't as familiar as my neurologist with my symptoms. I will e mail the neuro tomorrow
Doctor:are you there?
Doctor:sure, please do go ahead and visit your neurologist
Doctor:Is there anything else I can help you with?
User:Yes takes some time to type with intention tremor !
Doctor:I can understand
User:No thank you si much for your reassurance that I should push to see the neuro
User:I will do that now.
Doctor:Yes, you do need to see your neurologist in my opinion... I would refer you to one if I were your treating GP
Doctor:Thank you for using our service
Doctor:All the best and take care
