I had pain on my fingers and wrist for the last two months...
How did it start
and which hand is it?
Right-hand, not sure how, suddenly on one day...
Visited a hospital nearby and got an x-ray and blood tests done...
they said there is nothing wrong with the x-ray
and the pain is because of this...
as per the report, the Total Vitamin D is 13.0 ng/ml
Vitamin B12 is 145*L pg/ml
they have given some tablets....
Wal D3 and Al-Mity Plus tablets...
can you describe the pain for me? How does it start? What makes it worse?
What makes it better?
is it burning pain, shocking pain etc?
and suggested to take these (Wal D3 one tablet every week for eight weeks, after that one tablet every month for the next one year....Al-mity Plus one tablet every day for the next one year)
they have asked to come for a review after two months...
Nothing of great relief.....
To answer your questions..
It is just stiffness...
Nothing makes it better or worse, just there throughout the day...
Now, two things strike me as you describe this
1 is the possibility that this is carpal tunnel disease
arthritis in a 32 year old is uncommon, but it does become likely if you have had any trauma to that wrist or arm in the past
Carpal tunnel is common in those who are desk bound on computers
but even then its not common in your age group
yes, predominant work on system...
Well, there is a simple way of finding out if you have carpal tunnel
We work in a software organization, so, use laptop...
one moment i have to look something up
Ok, what you need to do is find a good physical therapist
the stiffness is there only in two fingers...ring finger and little finger...
Wear that during the day and see if your pain subsides
if it does.. then you have carpal tunnel
Are these tablets related to that...
Well, what these tablets are doing is deacreasing inflammation in the wrist
sorry for the poor spelling
But they will not be good long term, so i would rather diagnose you then just kill the pain
Is there any hospital that you recommend to visit and get this checked and treated...?
At this point any good orthopedics doc will be able to help
The hospital itself is unimportant
These were prescribed by a XXXXXXX Ortho.
I work at Fortis, so i am partial
what part of the city do you live in
Are you an orthopedic doctor?
No sir. I am a neurosurgeon
Thats my profile.
I will try to visit an Ortho as you suggested.
Which Fortis center to you work from?
There are 6 in XXXXXXX if at all I need to visit you..
Bannerghatta, Marathahalli, Nagarbhavi, XXXXXXX Seshadripuram, and Rajajinagar
