User:I had pain on my fingers and wrist for the last two months...
Doctor:How did it start
Doctor:and which hand is it?
User:Right-hand, not sure how, suddenly on one day...
User:Visited a hospital nearby and got an x-ray and blood tests done...
User:they said there is nothing wrong with the x-ray
User:vitamin b12 and d3 levels are very low
User:and the pain is because of this...
User:as per the report, the Total Vitamin D is 13.0 ng/ml
User:Vitamin B12 is 145*L pg/ml
User:they have given some tablets....
User:Wal D3 and Al-Mity Plus tablets...
Doctor:can you describe the pain for me? How does it start? What makes it worse?
Doctor:What makes it better?
Doctor:is it burning pain, shocking pain etc?
User:and suggested to take these (Wal D3 one tablet every week for eight weeks, after that one tablet every month for the next one year....Al-mity Plus one tablet every day for the next one year)
User:they have asked to come for a review after two months...
User:this is the status as of now but there is stiffness in the hand...
User:Nothing of great relief.....
User:To answer your questions..
User:It is just stiffness...
User:Nothing makes it better or worse, just there throughout the day...
Doctor:Now, two things strike me as you describe this
Doctor:1 is the possibility that this is carpal tunnel disease
Doctor:The other is that you have arthritis in this wrist
Doctor:arthritis in a 32 year old is uncommon, but it does become likely if you have had any trauma to that wrist or arm in the past
Doctor:Carpal tunnel is common in those who are desk bound on computers
Doctor:but even then its not common in your age group
User:yes, predominant work on system...
Doctor:I see
Doctor:Well, there is a simple way of finding out if you have carpal tunnel
User:We work in a software organization, so, use laptop...
Doctor:one moment i have to look something up
Doctor:Ok, what you need to do is find a good physical therapist
Doctor:and buy a wrist splint from them
User:the stiffness is there only in two fingers...ring finger and little finger...
Doctor:Wear that during the day and see if your pain subsides
Doctor:if it does.. then you have carpal tunnel
User:Are these tablets related to that...
Doctor:Well, what these tablets are doing is deacreasing inflammation in the wrist
Doctor:sorry for the poor spelling
Doctor:But they will not be good long term, so i would rather diagnose you then just kill the pain
Doctor:make sense?
User:Is there any hospital that you recommend to visit and get this checked and treated...?
Doctor:At this point any good orthopedics doc will be able to help
Doctor:The hospital itself is unimportant
User:These were prescribed by a XXXXXXX Ortho.
Doctor:I work at Fortis, so i am partial
Doctor:i see
Doctor:what part of the city do you live in
User:Are you an orthopedic doctor?
Doctor:No sir. I am a neurosurgeon
Doctor:Thats my profile.
User:I will try to visit an Ortho as you suggested.
Doctor:Good show
Doctor:Take care
User:Thank you.
User:Which Fortis center to you work from?
User:There are 6 in XXXXXXX if at all I need to visit you..
User:Bannerghatta, Marathahalli, Nagarbhavi, XXXXXXX Seshadripuram, and Rajajinagar
User:Thank you.
