What causes ear pain after wisdom tooth extraction? - Online Doctor Chats
How can I help you ?
I am chatting in behalf of my wife...
and it was a minor surgery as well...
now the situation is she does not have any infection or anything there, but she is having very severe pain and the pain is radiating to her ear also..
It will come down
on its own
she was taking the pain killer meftal forte...
Need not worry, for now pain killer medications are the only resort
today we went to another dentist and she gave another pain killer Dicloran A
and she said it is more effective..
but it is not working for her....
she is near to me and she is still having the same pain with Dicloran A. She took Dicloran at 10:00 o'clock
wat can we do now..
can she take meftal forte also now... ????
Let her take a dose of Meftal forte now
Yes, she can
Only for now
bcoz the pain is not coming down with Dicloran
From tomorrow she may have to change her pain killer medication to something like Naproxen
which is better and safe Doctor...dicloran,meftal forte or naproxen....we are so confused and worried
Naproxen is powerful and less safe
Dicloran is the next
And safest and good one subjectively is meftal
so which one u suggest ..
and will it affect her kidneys??
as she is taking 2 to 3 pain killers daily for the last 3 days...
I would consider i better for her to continue Meftal forte
ok...but how much time it will take to subside....
taking pain killers for long duration like weeks or months can affect the kidneys
It may take not more than 4 to 5 days for the pain to subside completely
Is there anything else you want to know about ?
if it not resolved even after 4 to 5 days, whom should we consult..
Dentist with specialization in peridontics
ok, thnks doctor
You are welcome
