User:I am having GERD since past 6 month
User:but since nearly one month i have cough

Doctor:You should take Esmeprazole 20 mg twice a day for 6 weeks

Doctor:along with that you might also take mucaine gel syrup thrice a day to reduce the esophageal irritation

Doctor:Along with the tablet, I would also suggest you to get an H-Pylori test done to rule that infection out

Doctor:I can not answer that, you should talk to the gastroenterologist for that

Doctor:Apart from the acidity tablets, you should also take a course of bronchodilators to decrease the inflammation in the lungs
