User:This is regarding Pregnacy of my wife
User:She is in her 37 weeks
Doctor:Please proceed with your query
User:She is getting itching all over her body which is unbearable
User:Even in her palms and hands getting severe sores
User:SHe is unable to sleep at night
User:Our doctor told it's normal, but do you have any suggestion to soothe it and relief from pain
Doctor:I think we need to check her liver function tests - sgot and sgpt
Doctor:Does she have yellowish discoloration of eyes?
User:No her eyes are normal
User:Only the itching is like mosquito bites all over body with blood marks due to severe itching
Doctor:Does she have hardened skin or dark skin at site of itching?
User:Dark red skiin patches at the site of itching
Doctor:It can be lichen or eczema in which case she will need topical steroidal cream
Doctor:I would suggest that you see a skin doctor and take appropriate treatment
Doctor:Till then she can take doxinate tablets to control the itch
Doctor:half to one tablet before sleeping
User:Yes but during pregnancy any other medication would be harmful
User:is there any external cream or method tocure

Doctor:doxinate is usually taken by pregnant women to control vomiting
Doctor:Regarding external creams, these are better prescribed by a dermatologist and shuld not affect the baby
