Doctor:Let me brief you.
User:sure thanks! :)
Doctor:The symptoms that you describe doesn't point out to a serious condition.
User:thats great
Doctor:The swelling that you notice below the ear most likely seems to be a swollen lymph node.
Doctor:Lymph nodes get swollen due to an acute inflammation. Allergy perse can itself cause such inflammation is some individuals.
Doctor:The ear pain you describe may be part of the same allergy condition or a non specific ache.
Doctor:I suggest you not to worry about those symptoms.
Doctor:If pain or the swelling worsens, you need to see a physician/ent surgeon
Doctor:for an examination.
Doctor:We can decide to test you further based on clinical examination findings.
User:but this pain is not going away on its own
Doctor:Until you see the doctor I will suggest the following.
User:what should i do for this
Doctor:1. Keep yourself warm. Avoid dust exposure.
Doctor:2. Prefer to use warm water and food. Avoid cold and refrigerated food products.
Doctor:3. Steam inhalation can relieve Eustachian tube dysfunctions (which is sometimes associated with such condition and cause pain)/
Doctor:4. If the pain is severe and persists for hours, you can pop in a pain killer such as tab dolo 650mg.
Doctor:These measures should help you until you see a doctor.
Doctor:Did you follow what I said?
Doctor:Do you have any more queries?
User:So i thought I might get a prescription
User:as taking out time for clinic is the biggest issue as of now
Doctor:You can try the measures I suggested and see if you feel better.
User:Can you prescribe some which can fasten the process of its healing on its own
User:Yeah definitely I am going to follow that
Doctor:I understand your concern. However as I said earlier the symptoms you said are not specific to a particular illness.
Doctor:A physical examination is needed to isolate the cause.
Doctor:Many of my patients who reported such concers
Doctor:felt better after trying the measures that I indicated.
User:ok sure i will try them
Doctor:I will recommend you follow them earnestly.
Doctor:Try steam inhalation atleast twice in a day if 3-4 times is not possible.
Doctor:If you don't get better say in a week or if you feel the symptoms worsen, you need to find time and see a doctor.
Doctor:Hope I am clear.
User:Yeah sure
Doctor:Let me know if you have any more questions?
User:thanks doctor!
User:No, thats it for now!
Doctor:Thanks for visiting me here. Bye for now.
