User :   can Vit. D 2000 units give me headaches

User :   My OBGYN becasue he said my Vit D was low after a blood test was done and I have had bad headaches ever since

Doctor :   high doses of vit D can cause headahces as a matter of fact
User :   do I need to take that much or just take some calcium

Doctor :   the RDA - for a female is 400 IU of vitamin D
Doctor :   You need to take calcium supplement s with vit D

User :   so if I cut to 400 units and take the Calcium w/D it should stop my headaches

User :   my doctor had me take at night and then I wake up in the middle of the night with bad headaches maybe that is why he had me do it at night with food
Doctor :   it could be , but the dosage is high for u and u need to cut it down
