User :   Had a sore throat Sunday and monday..It turned into stuffy head..Wednesday a bout of diarreah. Then Thursday night into Friday violent diarreah. Then 20 hours with no diarreah, now the diarreah has come back (1 episode). Have taken no medication for this and have been drinking clear liquids and am on BRAT. How long should I wait to go in??

User :   I had gone 30 hours with no idiarreah.. I was very hopeful!

Doctor :   But it requires a course of low dose antibiotic so that the remaining organism is killed and you do not have this again being a parent of little ones
User :   This last sttol was yellowish brown. whenre the previous ones were dark brown..

Doctor :   Depend on clear fluids with soups, non caffeinated beverages, fruit juices
Doctor :   water ofcourse 2 lts per day
Doctor :   Salt will help in restortion of electrolytes lost
User :   Ah.. Yes i have been a chicken noodle eating fool, with White toast and bananas.

Doctor :   Banana can restrict some amount of diarrhoea
Doctor :   but when you have normal stool it does not

Doctor :   I also suggest you a PRILOSEC, 20 mg since there can be mild gastritis , for 3 days, once a day
