User:i think i have a vaginal yeast infection. i have taken an ovule already what should i do?
User:hello doctor.
Doctor:I understand you might be having an yeast/fungal infection
Doctor:What you can do about this is,
Doctor:you can do vaginal douches with a betadine solutions
Doctor:and get a vaginal culture and sensitivity test done to look for the type of infection
Doctor:based on that report you might need to start taking antibiotics/antifungal medication
User:it has been three weeks i think i have a yeast infection. i have always had more vaginal discharge than others and my doctor said everything was okay. i am studying abroad now i can't visit a doctor. the vaginal discharge smells like bread alcohol . and i have it throughout the day. no itching no burning no nothing. it just smells and its excessive. i have taken an ovule "lomexin" 600mg twoo weeks ago .
Doctor:If what you say is right, I also do not think you might be having any kind of infection.
User:but why do i have that certain smell?
Doctor:Some people have this kind of excessive discharge
User:i always have excessive discharge when i ovulate . but i am kind of concerned with the smell.
Doctor:If at all you have any yeast infection, you will have, a curdy white discharge
Doctor:not a clear discharge
User:it is clear-yellowish
User:and stretchy
Doctor:I am sorry, but I will not able to comment more since I have not examined you
User:okay. i am just trying to figure out what to do because there are no gynecologists here our health centre does not provide any smear services
Doctor:I understand it is quite a distressing issue
Doctor:To know if you have any infection, you can get a KOH mount examined under a microscope
Doctor:without a basic investigation like KOH mount, it is very difficult to say if you have any fungal infection
Doctor:and moreover, if you have already taken an antifungal two weeks ago, it should resolve
Doctor:If it hasn't resolved, it means you are unlikely to be having any fungal infection
User:ok doctor thank you
Doctor:Thank you for consulting me
Doctor:Take care
Doctor:Bye for now
