User :   hello, i am 21 and about one or two weeks ago i started having seriously aggravating vaginal itch and now some blisters appeared. i am not really sexually active ( I have had sex once in the past year, and that was 6 months ago) so I don't think it is herpes. what can it be? i will go see a gyno in a few days when some guests leave but in the mean while it is driving me up the wall, especially at night...
Doctor :   Let me read your query

Doctor :   The other possibilities are a vaginal infection by bacteria, fungi
User :   i have no discharge or smell though
User :   it really came out of no where
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Discharge is a prominent symptom, but not always
Doctor :   the other possibility is due to estrogen defeciency in the vaginal area
User :   are there any other possibilities?
User :   oh
Doctor :   for which topical estrogen ointments are prescribed
User :   what would cause estrogen defeciency?

User :   will using some sort of lubricant improve or worsen the situation?
User :   aka if it is bacteria will or smth basically incubate the bacteria or make it better
User :   what really worried me was the blisters... can this happen w a yeat infection?
Doctor :   should not be used
Doctor :   Do not apply anything as such now
Doctor :   as it can interfere with the gynec's opinion
Doctor :   and the cause shall not be made out clearly
User :   mmm
User :   is there anything i can apply to alleviate the itch?
User :   its really mind boggling. not really during the day but at night
Doctor :   Are you sure that it is vaginal itch and not an anal one?
User :   yes
