User :   recently i went in for pap smear test during our bi annual check up . the report was negative though
Doctor :   your symptoms of itching, burning along with white discharge suggest possibility of yeast infection.
Doctor :   which should be confirmed by doing tests
User :   ok i necessarily need to consult a gynae
Doctor :   PAP smear will not detect infection. it is for detecting changes in cervical cells
Doctor :   and rule out early cancer
User :   alright

Doctor :   hence you will need to revisit your gyne requesting for a vaginal smear test.
Doctor :   have you followed what I have siad?

User :   yes need to get a vaginal smear test done.
Doctor :   if the infection is found to be bacterial, antibiotics will be needed, if protozoal, antiprotozaoals would be needed, and if fungal, then antifungals would be needed to treat the infection
