Doctor :   hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here
Doctor :   let me read what you have typed
Doctor :   the redness and itching do suggest infection.
Doctor :   changes in vaginal secretions affects the pH , and makes more susceptible to infection
Doctor :   the changes can be due to intercourse or periods
User :   ok, because I had my period really late
User :   is there way to make it go away?
Doctor :   you would require an examination done by a gynecologist, this will include getting a vgainal swab tested to identify teh causative organism
Doctor :   and get it treated adequately
User :   ok, and in Aug. I had itching before and my Doctor gave me Ciprofloxacin to make it go away. would that help?
Doctor :   if you had completed the course at that time, it might help you again if the same infection is present
User :   but then there was no red spots
Doctor :   if the causative agent is different, you will different line of treatment
Doctor :   hence I suggested for the vaginal swab testing for identifying the infection
User :   ok, and there is anything else I should know about, or watch out for, to be safe?
Doctor :   this time, get your partner treated simultaneously
Doctor :   and avoid having intercourse while being on traetment
Doctor :   to avoid chances of re-infection
Doctor :   avoid douching, use of products in vaginal area like harsh soap, bubble bath, douching, sprays
Doctor :   use cotton and loose undergarments
User :   ok , even if my partner was using condoms?
Doctor :   yes, even if you use condoms, avoid it, since chances of pre-cum (lubrication fluid) contact is still present
Doctor :   and other mishaps like spill, lead, break cannot be ruled out.
Doctor :   *leak
User :   ok thank you
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
