Doctor :   Hi
User :   GM Doctor. This is regarding my 3 years old daughter.
Doctor :   Ok,
User :   From 25th till 27th August she had fever without any symptoms
User :   I gave her homeopathy and at night crocin syrup and she was ok
User :   then from 28th aug she started mild cold, running nose etc
Doctor :   Ok,
Doctor :   Does he have fever ?
User :   but she was going to school so last week till Wednesday that is from 29th to 4th she has mild cold and from 30th she started mild cough and tehn it aggrevated
Doctor :   ok, Is she on any medication now ?
User :   no fever now but severe cough wet cough
User :   so i consulted one of our family doc and she said u can give her azithral syrup
User :   i didnt take her to her pediatric
User :   so just wanted to check as its almost 3 weeks
User :   i have given azithral for past 2 days
Doctor :   Yes,
User :   should i give her for another 1 day or another 3 days?

Doctor :   I meant to ask how many Mg er ml
User :   azithral 200
User :   2.5 ml twice
Doctor :   I would ask you to give single dose of 5 ml in the morning alone
User :   is it ok?
User :   i stay in bangalore and hv seen kids often with cold cough but my daughter gets it every 2-3 it commmon in kids and is it also ok to have it less or more for 2-3 weeks?
Doctor :   This time of the season yes, its common for the children to have cold
User :   for so many days?
Doctor :   but if its very much frequent then i would consider there could be a weak immunity in the child which could be due to faulty nutrition
Doctor :   yes, you got it right
User :   ok doc so I should give azithral 200 for another 3 days 5ml once in teh afternoon. Right Doc?
User :   she has taken azithral in teh past also once 6 months back and again say 2 months is that fine? is it safe? last month when she has fever and cold doctor gave her augmentin but I didnt give as she was OK without it only but this time its little prolonged. so all these antibiotiocs are safe right?
Doctor :   this time since you have started complete the course
Doctor :   in actual its not good to give antibiotics frequently
Doctor :   improve her nutrition instead , this will help her to combat infections
User :   why doctor?
Doctor :   Antibiotics taken repetitively may cause development of resistance in the infecting organism
Doctor :   and hence the antibiotics may go useless i subsequent episodes
Doctor :   in*
Doctor :   its ok for now
User :   so in my daughters case she had taken once 6 months back and once 2 months back so will the infecting organism be resistant for azithral now and should I change teh antibiotics or its Ok for now but next time I shouldnt give?
Doctor :   next time if there is need go for a different one
