User :   I am having a few issues at the moment. I went to the doctor last week because I felt a burning sensation when he uninated. The doctor treated me with antibiotics and tested me for STD's and a UTI. I know that since I have not had sex in the last few months a STD is highly unlikely and the doctor said that men rarely get UTI's. I have no discharge or discoloring or sores. I just have to uninate a lot and it burns. In the last week I am also experiencing another problem in that area. My penis seems to be trying to crawl into my stomach. I have to keep ajusting it, because it it acutally uncomfortable. The doctor said he has never heard of anyone having a problem like that. Is there anyone out there who has experienced the same thing? If so, any advice would be appreciated. I made an appointment with a urioligist but it isn't until next month.

User :   hi
Doctor :   Are u there?
Doctor :   OK
User :   I need some advice
Doctor :   sure, please give me a few minutes, to read your suery
Doctor :   query
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :   may i know ur age , please ?
User :   My husband went to the doctor last week because we thought he had a bladder infection he posted this but got no answer so i thought we would try this
User :   he is 27
Doctor :   and how long have u had such issues ?
User :   about a week
Doctor :   ok, UTIs can occur in men, as a result of minor injuries or cuts to the penile skin or mucosa , which presents in the form of burning pain while peeing

Doctor :   but such incidents are transient and eventually get better within a few days with antibiotics
User :   the doc did a uralitist in the office and said there was no bacteria or pus present in the sample
Doctor :   In that case, thats good

User :   the doc said that he really felt it was chlymidia but had to send it off for more testing
User :   we have not gotten the results back yet
Doctor :   does your husbands, penis get very small, as described in the history above ?

User :   yes when he is not aroused
Doctor :   thats is ok, and most probably, will be negative , so no need to bother about that
Doctor :   i mean about the chamydia test
User :   he has been taking the antibiotics for a week now and the burning is less he says
User :   if it were a uti would the antibiotics helped that
Doctor :   about the penis size, that is completely normal , for the size of tha flaccid penis to reduce and is nothing to worry about
Doctor :   yes, antibiotics do help
Doctor :   the infection here is in the tip of the urethra in the tip of the penis ,
Doctor :   so when u urinate, most of the bacteria, may be washed out before you take a mid stream sample
User :   he says there is no swelling in the penis or genital area, it is not tender to touch, there is no discharge...the only symptom is the burning
User :   with that being said and the fact that the initial test said there was no pus or bacteria in the urine, would you say it is unlikly to be an STD?
Doctor :   yes that is very common, presentation of asymptomatic uncomplicated urinary infections in men
Doctor :   no the test mentions that no bacteria are seen in general
User :   and more likly to be UTI?
Doctor :   for STDs, you need specific tests and cultures
Doctor :   Yes, this is definitely a bacterial infection, due to E coli, THE MOST common casue of infection
Doctor :   and the chances of STDs will be low
User :   thanks for ur advice and a lil peace of mind till we get the results back
Doctor :   sure
Doctor :   you are most welcome
Doctor :   take care
Doctor :   and bye for now
