User : hello
Doctor : Hi
Doctor :
How can I help you?
User : I have stones problem.. I have been diagnosed with multiple calculli in both kidneys recently
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
may I know few details
User : I got my ultrasound done and this stone was there from last many days..
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
What is the size of it
User : in left max size is 9mm and 6 mm in right
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Do you have any problems like pain in the stomach?
Doctor :
or while urinatiing?
User : yes i am facing problem while urinating
User : i got my ultrasound done
User : and found out that there is a calculli of 8mm size located in left UVJ
Doctor :
Ok
User : Currently I am taking the medicines : amifru(40 mg) and norflox 400mg
Doctor :
Since the calculi pass off on their own if smaller than 5mm , in your case I think you need an intervention by an Urologist
Doctor :
Amifru increases the urine out put and thus aid in passing of the stone
Doctor :
Norflox is an antibiotic which helps in preventing infection
Doctor :
or treating your current infection
User : what is the possible treatment for my situation?
Doctor : What is your age?
User : 23 years
Doctor :
Did you see a Urologist?
User : there's one family doctor of ours
User : I have consulted him on the phone
Doctor :
Ok
User : haven't seen him yet in person
Doctor : The stone size is large to be managed with conservative treatment
Doctor : so a Urologist opinion is all needed fore you
User : hmm
Doctor :
More over one has to find the reason for the formation of stones
Doctor :
Right now what I suggest you is to drink more water
Doctor :
that is around 3 litres per day
User : I am drinking this much amount daily for sure, sir
Doctor : Since the stone is at the junction of ureters and the bladder
Doctor :
it can be easily removed with Ureteroscopy
User : okay
User : is it some kind of operation?
Doctor :
simple procedure
Doctor :
which is done in the Operating room
Doctor :
If the stone size is less than 5 mm one can take a chance to let it pass of on its own
Doctor :
but it is more than 5 mm
Doctor :
and easily removable
Doctor :
with Ureterorenoscopy
User : okay
Doctor : flexible ureterorenoscopes have the capability to reach the stone
Doctor :
and remove it
Doctor :
Otherwise some laser techniques can be done to split the stone and pass off
Doctor :
That is the decision of the Urologist to conduct one of these
User : allright!
Doctor :
So do not worry
User : thanks doctor
Doctor :
Please fill the feedback form
Doctor :
Is there anything else I can help you with
User : No sir, that would be fine
User : thanks a lot
Doctor : You can approach us for any other help
Doctor :
like fixing up appnt
User : i really appreciate your concern
Doctor :
and getting a second opinion from Urologist
User : fine
Doctor :
Thanks for consulting us
Doctor :
Bye for now
