User :   this is about my mother in law

User :   shes been having slight fever since 3 months. it started in feb with a throat infection

Doctor :   We keep our word
User :   due to which some blood tests were recommended
Doctor :   ok
User :   and the tests revealed a high ESR
User :   after that doc suspected
User :   malaria
User :   typhoid
User :   and several other tests were carried out
User :   all were negative
User :   then we decided to try homeopathy
Doctor :   ok
User :   and that dint help either
User :   fever wass between 100-101
User :   so tried a new doc
User :   and she suggested lots more tests
User :   including
User :   mantoux
User :   a chest ct scan
User :   echocardiogram
User :   more blood tests

User :   urine tests etc
User :   urine test revealed urinary infection
User :   6-8 pus cells
Doctor :   ok
User :   and chest ct scan
User :   revealed
User :   inflammation of the aorta blood vessels
User :   by then fever came down to 99
User :   and one more test
User :   revealed crp (high)

User :   we did the urine culture test
User :   and that revealed infection come down
User :   and less than 1000
User :   which is considered good i think

User :   but she still has the 99 fever coming every evening
User :   between 6 and 8 pm
User :   taken 3 different antibiotics

User :   she lost 3-4 kgs in this 3 months (more in the first month) its been stable for last 2 months

User :   she had a slight cough initially. but its almost gone now

User :   no pains and no glands. doc has checked
Doctor :   Now how is she feeling about her sore throat

User :   even UTI has improved

Doctor :   you should not be worried about the evening rise of temperature
User :   its 0-3pus cells
User :   its coming every day upto max 99.5

User :   6-7 pm
Doctor :   in the urine which is normal
Doctor :   ESR is raised is a very vague thing which has no significance if no symptoms

Doctor :   ESR is raised even if she is normal
Doctor :   and it also raises if she is no medicines
User :   but what abt the vasculitis
Doctor :   so do not be worried about ESR
Doctor :   and fever less than 100 degree

User :   can it be thyroid? thats one test that was not done
User :   and also CRP raised. what does that mean. it was quite high

Doctor :   you have to get the thyroid profile done, yes
Doctor :   CRP is C reactive protein usually in inflammation of joints, muscle
Doctor :   etc
Doctor :   It is raised for many old aged persons

Doctor :   because there can be a degenerative process of connective tissues
