Undergone URS DJ stening for kidney stone, having stent in uretor. Any symptoms to know if stent is displaced? - Online Doctor Chats
How can I help you?
I am having one query
now I am havinng stent in my urator..I read on the internet that some exersion could displace thhe stent
So I want to know are there any symptoms from which I get to know that stent has been displaced
because after operation I ran twice
So that urine flows normally through the ureters to the bladder.
It is usually rare for the stent to get disldged from its position.
yes. There is always a chance for it to get dislodged if much of an exertion is there.
I read that if it moves into bladder then it can puncture it or harm it
If it moves to the bladder, it can harm the bladder.
But, if it moves, you will be knowing it.
You will get pain like the pain you had when you had a stone.
It is a foreign substance, which when moves through the ureter will cause pain.
I am not having a pain like i had earlier, but still while passing urine I am having some sensation that something is there
So, you will not feel any sensation while passing the urine.
but i am having some sensation while urinating..
may I know when was the stenting done?
it was done on 7th nov
Usually the stent will be removed around 6 weeks after its insertion.
yes,and he has planned removal of stent on 30th Nov
Until then there will be mild difficulties as occasional pain or discomfort.
There might be mild pain even after the stent is removed, for a few days.
So do not worry, it will get better soon.
So I could wait till saturday ..little discomfort is usual..right?
Yes. It is very normal. Rarely some people experience great pain.
I am happy that in your case, it a very mild pain that you had explained.
