User:My mother has problem of fainting..

User:yes.. The jaws get locked..
User:problem in breathing starts..
User:We open the jaws and try to feed her water

User:upto 1 hour soemtimes..
Doctor:Was any EEG, CT scan brain, MRI done?
User:CT scan was done.. but it was fine..
User:I can have a MRI and EEG done if you recommend that

Doctor:With the history I have got, it seems like she is having seizure activity.
Doctor:To check if it is seizures, an EEG may be required. If it is seizures, she need to be checked for lesions in brain. for that a CT or MRI brain would be sufficient.
Doctor:But, these all is required only after a neurologist examines her.
Doctor:During seizures, as you said, locked jaw can occur.
Doctor:This can be prevented only by preventing the seizures.
Doctor:For that first we need to diagnose seizures, and then take medicines accordingly.
