User :   Is the only way to get rid of a moderate UTI by taking antibiotics??
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   hello
Doctor :   Taking more water will help in moderate UTis
Doctor :   also home remedies like Cranberry juice helps
User :   will those get rid of it
User :   as long as its not in my kidneys
Doctor :   yes,
User :   do you know how many days I should do the extra water and cranberry juice before I test again to see if its gone?
User :   hello?
Doctor :   5 days to week
User :   oh ok, can I ask two more quick questions?? One about temperature and one about thyroid
Doctor :   yes, please
User :   if I take my temperature under the arm, am I supposed to add a degree??
Doctor :   yes,
User :   is 99.1 considered to be a fever
User :   it goes up to that every month after I ovulate
Doctor :   yes, rise in temperature is a typical sign of ovulation
Doctor :   there is no need to worry
Doctor :   and 99.1 can not be considered as fever , such temperature can be recoded during a days exerstion
User :   ok, my thyroid question. Would a normal thyroid test that my doc has checked on me a few times in the past year of so, would it give him any indicators if I had hashimotos??
User :   Or do u have to have a specific antibody test for it
Doctor :   the antibody tests are more specific
Doctor :   the regular thyroid testing may not give much clue
User :   so even though my thyroid testing they did said my thyroid was fine, I could still have hashimotos
Doctor :   yes,
User :   ok
Doctor :   Anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody is the one
Doctor :   which can diagnose the illness even when hormone levels are normal
Doctor :   Are you able to read me ?
User :   yes sorry, that just makes me mad because I have been saying for a year that something is wrong with my thyroid, and they just keep telling me my thyroid is fine, and I have every symptom of hoshimotos except the weight gain
Doctor :   get the test done and confirm
User :   ok I will call tomorrow and ask for it, thank you so much for your time
User :   I will leave feedback
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   Wish you al health
User :   have a good night, you too
Doctor :   Bye for now
User :   bye
