User :   Hi. I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months. my cycles varies from 28-30 days. Today is day 30. This morning I had some light yellowish discharge without any odor. I have never noticed this type of discharge before. I have mild lower abdominal cramps, but no other real pregnancy symptoms. could this discharge be leukorrhea and a sign of pregnancy? Thanks.
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hi
Doctor :   Are you on any medications ?
User :   no. just prenatal vitamines
Doctor :   Are you taking Vit B12 preparation ?
User :   folic acid and vitamin D. I also take cod liver oil
Doctor :   Since when are you taking these ?
User :   for 4 months
Doctor :   ok, Multivitamin can rarely cause such yellowish secretions , also yellow colored urine
User :   ok. so thats probably it then. Can leukorrhea be yellowish.. and would it present this early?
User :   I meant probably not it:)
Doctor :   Leuhorrhea is white discharge , and post delivery leukorrhea could be yellowish only due to internal bleeding
User :   so you dont think this symtom is a sign of pregnancy?
Doctor :   its very early to consider that diagnosis , also need lot more evidence , i would ask you to wait for some more days and observe
User :   ok. should i be concerned about the discharge being an infection?
Doctor :   no , because you would have been presented with other signs of inflammation much before discharge like fever , itching , redness , foul smelling discharge etc
User :   ok. would you recommend taking a pregnancy test today pr wait a few more days. I also hear it is best to do the urine test in morning is that right?
Doctor :   i would ask you to wait for another week , and yes early morning test will be more reliable
User :   Thanks.
Doctor :   You are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   kindly provide your feeedback
Doctor :   Bye for now
Doctor :   take care
