Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr xxx here
User :   Hello
User :   I had a question about an ingrown hair
Doctor :   please proceed
User :   I got an ingrown hair on my penis last month, and it wouldnt go away, and I was afraid it was something more, so i went and got std tested, and everything was negative, so i know its an ingrown hair
User :   and finally yesterday, the hair was visible, so i used a warm cloth, and then pulled the entire hair and follicle out
User :   So my question to you, is how can i treat it now that the hair and follicle are gone... I still have a large red bump, and I wanted to know how to treat and get rid of the red bump
Doctor :   can you tell me the exact site of the hair ?
User :   um not too sure, maybe half an inch, maybe shorter
Doctor :   , is it on the skin or the red part of the penis
User :   what do you mean?
User :   the bump?
Doctor :   no the hair ?
User :   the was was on the bump
User :   I already pulled it out with tweasers
Doctor :   yes , i get that , may i know which part of the penis the hair is grown on ?
User :   oh, the shaft on the side
Doctor :   thats i needed

Doctor :   so the bump is now at the site of pulled hair ?
User :   yes, it always has been
User :   I think it was infected
Doctor :   is the bump filled with any fluid or pus ?
User :   no not anymore
User :   I was just saying I thought it was maybe infected a few weeks ago, but i took good care of it and kept it clean
Doctor :   was it before? pus?
User :   no pus
Doctor :   thats fine , but its better to take a course of antibiotics to prevent it from occurring agiain
Doctor :   again*
User :   ok, so would i just go to my doctor and ask for that, telling him about the ingrown hair?
User :   or is it over the counter stuff?
Doctor :   yes, and do tell him about the pus formed before
User :   alright
Doctor :   no you will need an detailed examination of the lesion and a prescription for the antibiotic
User :   now how i take care of the bump, now that the hair has been removed? To get rid of this red bump?
Doctor :   Consult your GP and ask him for the same
User :   Is there anything i can do myself in the mean time?
Doctor :   do you have pain in the lesion ?
User :   no
Doctor :   then do not worry its in latent stage
Doctor :   you have time
Doctor :   get on antibiotics
User :   what does latent stage mean
User :   the bump is going away?
Doctor :   inactive or uninfected
Doctor :   not going but will go away if put on antibiotics
User :   ok, so i need antibiotics to get rid of the red bump entirely?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   ok, well until i go to the GP
User :   does neosporin and a band aid help?
Doctor :   no band
Doctor :   yes to neo
User :   alrighty
User :   thank you
