User :   I got miph done and the doctor also removed a few skin tags by burning them. Now 5 days later my anus still burns for hours after bowel movement. Please help I am in s*** state
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   May I know your age?
User :   47
Doctor :   When did you undergo the procedure- was it 5 days ago?
User :   Yes
Doctor :   Are you bleeding?
User :   No
Doctor :   Do you have foul smelling discharge?
Doctor :   Do you have diabetes?
User :   There is no abnormal discharge
User :   I do not havediabeties, i am taking telday 40 , met xl 25 and neo mercazole 5 for my hypertension and thyroid condition.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me brief you.
Doctor :   The burning sensation you have is probably due to effects of the procedure.
Doctor :   It is expected to settle down.
Doctor :   It is most likely due to the inflammation caused by the burning of the skin/procedure itself.
Doctor :   As mentioned this should settle down in a weeks time.
Doctor :   However presence of constipation, less water content of the stool or a likely infection can also be the reason.
Doctor :   Since you don't have pain (when you are at rest) and the absence of foul smelling discharge rules out infection.
Doctor :   Hence my suggestions are as follows.
Doctor :   1. Drink plenty of water.
User :   I also have anal contraction off and on and during bowel movement half way through it contracts with tremendous pain
Doctor :   2. Include fibre rich food products in your diet.
Doctor :   3. Apply Lignocaine gel at the anal margin, before you intend to pass stools.
Doctor :   4. Watch out for foul smell, appearance of swelling/redness at the anal margin.
User :   I am applying diltigesic but not really effective
Doctor :   As I mentioned before, inflammation can occur following any surgical procedure, and its common.
Doctor :   Antiinflammatory medications such as the ones prescribed to you, will slowly bring down your symptoms.
Doctor :   Use the diltigesic ointment as suggested.
Doctor :   You can use lignocaine gels before you feel like passing stool.
Doctor :   They are effective in reducing the discomfort.
User :   Any thing on the uncontrolled contractions of the anus
Doctor :   If your symptoms are persisting for more a week, then report to your doctor, who will visually examine and will be able to suggest if there are any other cause for the discomfort.
User :   Thank for bearing with n
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Thanks for bearing with me
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   Bye
