User : our new pup is being treated for a skin condition (probably parasites) my family, including children, are experiencing various type rashes, the Dr. today insisted you could get only flea bites from dogs - not scabies etc. I am afraid of reinfecting the dog or giving it to the vulnerable children I work with. Do I try to treat my family myself? - time is of the essence.
Doctor : Hi,
User : hi
Doctor : yes, your doctor is right
User : can you advise?
Doctor : dogs do not transmit scabies
User : what do you mean he is right?
Doctor : than it could be a allergic reaction to the dandruff
Doctor : i mean scabies not transferred by dogs
Doctor : but the fleas could be a chance
User : that is not what a lot of literature says they cannot reproduce on people but can be transmitted and cause a rash and remain for several weeks
User : sarcoptic mange canis is the exact term in dogs
Doctor : yes, but its sarcoptic scabii which infests in humans
Doctor : Scadiei*
Doctor : Scabiei *
User : do you know what you are talking about?
Doctor : I am sorry , am i confusing you ?
Doctor : ok i am sorry , i will put it in clear way now
Doctor : the rashes you are experiencing couldly be due to regular fleas infesting the dogs , dandruff or even scabies mites
User : you have wasted my money i want it returned
Doctor : the chances of scabies being the issue is less as the mite infesting humans resides on the dogs but do not multiply on them
Doctor : Yes, surely i will get you the refund
Doctor : but first let me try to get your query clearly
Doctor : and will try to help
User : the mites were on the dog first and then came to us! I want to treat them on us so as not to reinfect the pup or anyone else!
Doctor : ok, i now get it
Doctor : Have you tried Permethrin ?
Doctor : Blanket therapy with permethrin is the solution here
Doctor : and for the pup you can consult a veterinarian , where he may suggest benzoyl benzote for the same
Doctor : i am sorry , i got your question wrong
User : as i said at the start the vet has already begun treating the pup
Doctor : i was confuse , thinking you were asking the reason for the rashes
Doctor : yes, when you used the word flea for scabies i got confused as its a mite actually
Doctor : And i am sorry again for the confusion i will get you a refund for sure
