User :   I got problem with my disk L5S1

User :   it is mild disk bulg of L5S1 in MRI scan
User :   it is now almost 4months past I am suffering from this

User :   I feel the pain in lower back

User :   intially I used few medicines (pain killers)

Doctor :   Is the pain still severe?
User :   and later 1month back I attended physio therapy for 10days
Doctor :   Like how it was previously?
User :   previously I found very difficult to walk

User :   especially when I go to sleep, while getting up I was not able to bear the pain
User :   now the pain got reduced

User :   starting pain started right side lower back

User :   now it got reduced on the right side totally

Doctor :   As there has been marked improvement in your condition with physiotherapy,

Doctor :   Dont do the physiotherapy exercises when there is acute pain.
User :   but doctor was saying like 10days is enough and he has shown me a few exercises

User :   but doctor! I am presently on 2weeks leave for rest. can I go for swimming?
User :   will that help to get rid of the problem?
Doctor :   I suggest that you wait till you are stabilised,for some more time you should rest and continue physiotherapy.
Doctor :   As there would be undue strain on the muscles.
User :   ok...
Doctor :   As it was 4 months ago that you developed this.\

Doctor :   I suggest that you wait for another month or two before you start the exercises.
User :   but I first got this problem in sept 2006 when I went for gym to prepare for defence services interviews...
User :   but at that time it was for 3-5 days only
Doctor :   But you started taking rest only from 4 months.
Doctor :   I suggest that you rest for some more time say 1-2 months and then get back to your normal routine.
Doctor :   Use back strengthening physiotherapy exercises.
Doctor :   till then
User :   pain use to come at a irregular intervals like on an average of once in every 6months.. but every time I got the pain it was only for 3 - 6 days only
Doctor :   Once your back muscles are strong, then you can resume normal activities.
User :   but this time, it is very severe and now it is my 5month I am still suffering

Doctor :   The back muscles should be strengthened.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Once that happens then any future strain can be tolerated by the muscles.
User :   ok, I will surely continue Physio therapy. I can say confidently that I got relief from the pain after physio therapy
