User :   hello, for the past week ive had diarrea, fatigue, 2 days of fever at 101, swollen auxillary and chin nodes, and a rash on inner thoghs, stomach and lower back. i am a home healh aide and my patient had bed bugs and suspected fleas. is this something i should orry about?
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   hello dr
User :   i also had a few bite marks
Doctor :   I do not think the diarrhea has any relation with the lymphnode and the rashes
Doctor :   But yes, the bed bugs and flees do present with rashes and the swollen lymph nodes
Doctor :   fleas*
User :   do the other symptoms sound like a stomach bug?
Doctor :   no,
User :   my boyfriend and his granma also had similiar symptoms
Doctor :   Do the rashes produce scales or powdery substance ?
User :   yes after i scratch them, scaly
Doctor :   This mak3s me to suspect a scabies infestation too
Doctor :   i advice you to get all your clothing and the bed linin ton be washed well with antiseptics in the hot water
Doctor :   and yourself tak tab ACTIFED once in night for 3 days
Doctor :   and get examined by a dermatologist to get confirmed about the scabies and proceed with the treatment
User :   ok thank you...would scabies cause the fever, diarrhea and fatigue
Doctor :   fever and fatigue but not diarrhea
User :   so what may be causeing the diarrea, nausea, fatigue and fever, if not a stomach bug
Doctor :   I attribute diarrhea to some other food related cause
User :   ok, that could be because my bf, his grandma and i had dinner together a couple nights ogo
Doctor :   May i know whether the loose stools were watery in consistency ?
User :   a little
Doctor :   was it blood stained ?
User :   really just at a grater frequency
User :   no blood
Doctor :   was it foul smelling ?
User :   no more than the usual stool smell
Doctor :   Then in would say its due to a food related cause as you suspect
Doctor :   proceed as i advised and consult a dermatologist
User :   ok, thank you
Doctor :   Is there anything i can help you with ?
User :   and as far as the bed bug bites, should i do anything for the lymph nodes
Doctor :   no, follow my advice the lymph nodes regress to normal once you avoid the bugs
User :   my client has had her house treated and so have i just in case they came home with me
User :   how long should the diarreah last to cause concern?
Doctor :   more than a week
User :   ok, thank you
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
Doctor :   Bye for now
User :   bye
Doctor :   Take care
Doctor :   I am Dr Raju here
Doctor :   Please proceed
User :   hello again, i had another question and somehow got disconnected
Doctor :   ok, please proceed with your query
User :   i have had asthma for the past 20 years, i use an albuterol inhaler at least twive per day. since i can remeber i had had dry mouth and irritated tonsils. i have taken prednisone for the past 15 yrs on and off and have been intibated twice.
User :   what can i do to combat the dry mouth and irritated tonsils and are theeffects of prednisone permanant?
Doctor :   The dryness of the mouth is due to the inhalers

Doctor :   you can get rid of it by having steam inhalation twice a day
Doctor :   and the effects of the predinisone will wear off once the drug is withdrawn but will take time
User :   i havehad oral thrush while on prednisone for more than 2weeks, but i aways have a light white coating on my tongue and an irritated left tonsil at leadt once a month
User :   would a spacer help prevent the his
Doctor :   the prednisone reduces the local immunity and makes the oral cavity prone for infections
Doctor :   candidiasis ( thrush ) is the commonest
Doctor :   no, spacer do not help much
User :   does the dry moth from the inhaler promote a better environment for infection because of the inhaler
Doctor :   yes,
User :   what can i do to eradicate or lesson the tongue coating
Doctor :   also the prednisone will still lower the immunity
Doctor :   washing the oral cavity with water after every time you puff the inhaler
Doctor :   Also use CHLORHEXIDINE mouth wash twice a day after food every day
User :   thanl you, also will my continued use or prednisone and othe corticosteroids (advair) have a permanat effect of my immunity?
User :   or just during their use?
Doctor :   not permanent , as i said once you withdraw the drug slowly its side effects too wear off
User :   ok, thank you
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
