User :   Hello, I need to consult a Urologist.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   I am a General Physician, I believe I can help
you within my expertise and If required I
shall recommend a specialist.
User :   Sure
Doctor :   go ahead with your query.
User :   I am a 30 year old married man. I have been married for 1 Year and 4 months and have not been able to father a child till now
User :   I had gone to a fertility clinic in Pune which asked me for a semen analysis
Doctor :   ok
User :   The first analysis did not show any sperm in the sample so i was asked to come for a retest after an abstinence of 3-5 days
User :   In the second analysis as well the result was the same. There were additional blood tests conducted for FSH & Testosteron as well
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   what are the results?
User :   There are no semen in my sample in the retest. The result of FSH report is 10.54mlU/ml
User :   the normal values as per them is between 1.7-12.0 mlU/ml
Doctor :   Did you there was no semen in sample
Doctor :   or no sperms in sample
User :   The testosterone report also is 3.33 ng/ml
User :   no sperm in sample
Doctor :   ok
User :   In this prevailing condition what do you suggest
Doctor :   The normal FSH level is expected to be between 3 mIU/ml to 10 mIU/ml
User :   She has told me that there is no way that i can father a child naturally
User :   I need to go through a testicular biopsy first and if there is sperm found then i have to go for a test tube baby
Doctor :   normal range in males is 270 to 1070 nanograms
User :   so is my testosterone in the normal range. It is 3.33 ng/ml
Doctor :   No it abnormally low
Doctor :   But the FSh stimulates production of testosterone
Doctor :   and the FSH is normal
Doctor :   so you need to know the reason for low testosterone
User :   But She said the FSH is also not normal
Doctor :   So you need biopsy
User :   Which city are you from ? Can you suggest a good Urologist in Pune if you know ?
Doctor :   I am searching
User :   ok
User :   ok
User :   so as far as my reports go and the results of the reports that i have told u....what do you think are my chances of fathering a baby naturally ?
Doctor :   plz wait
User :   sure
Doctor :   Right now, there are no sperms
User :   yes thats wat the report says
Doctor :   Then the next Q is ...
Doctor :   What is the reason
Doctor :   Fro the tests, the there is some thing wrong in testicles
Doctor :   *from
User :   What do the FSH & Testosterone reports suggest ? I believe these 2 tests were done also for the same purpose
Doctor :   and they are not producing sperms and not enough testosterone
Doctor :   FSH is releeased fro brain
Doctor :   it is released to stimulate testoisterone from testicles
User :   ok
Doctor :   so FSH is normal
User :   Is there a possiblity that the sperms are being produced but getting blocked due to some reason and instead of coming out from the ejaculation into the semen, it is coming out through the urine ?
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   but first thing is why testosterone is not produced
Doctor :   That is the reason they are doing biopsy
User :   ok. so i shall go ahead with the biopsy is it ?
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   Then only you will knbow exactly whether youy hgave sperms making cells working or not?
User :   ok sure.
User :   Thank you so much for your time.
Doctor :   You welcome
